DHAN + ABAD = DHANBAD. As its name depicts that it is famous for generatin revenues in terms of DHAN. It is one of the most important city of India. It is the sole producer of Coking Coal. It is the second most populous city of Jharkhand after Ranchi. Its land area is so small, but population is 20 lacs. There are 2 research institutes namely Central Fuel Research Institute (CFRI) and Central Mining Research Institute (CMRI). Asia's no. 1 mining school viz Indian School of Mines University (ISM). It is also one the most important railway station and railway division of East Central Railway having headquarter at Hajipur, Bihar. People came from the different parts of India e.g. Bihar, West Bengal, U.P. and so on in search of their butter and bread over here. I am proud to be a person of that place.
