Засосенки

Засосенки ('Zasosenki') is a very small village in the Krasninskij rajon, Lipezkaja oblast, Russia. Now, in 2007 it has approximately 10 to 20 permanent households. The rest of the houses (approximately 20 to 30 more) are used as summer houses by families from nearby cities or from Moscow. The price of a house with a lot of approximately 1 hectare was around $500 in 2007. Adjacent to the village is a spirits factory, which was built and owned by a rich Russian family in the 19th century. The place is exceptionally picturesque with a confluence of two rivers Sosna and Don nearby. In the winter, when snow accumulation is high, the access to the village is extremely difficult and people often spend up to a few weeks inside their houses.
