This is one of the liveliest neighbourhoods of Tashkent. Its history starts from 1989 - when Mr Shukrullo Mirsaidov (then chairman of Tashkent City Executive Board = Mayor, later vice-president of Uzbekistan, now retired because of he could be challenging figure to the President) signed a Decree to give the territory of gardening farm for citizens to build own houses. It was a part of Soviet politics - maintaining every family with a living space, either flat or land under house.
Nowadays, O`rikzor, with a population exceeding 18,000 is part of Uchtepa district of Tashkent. Karvon-Bozor - famous Cash'n'Carry Market of Tashkent situated just off road (Tashkent Circular Road) of O`rikzor.
Main transport to get there are buses: 53, 125, 182, 33, 62, 31, 94, 147.
